The Start of my BLOG

I decided to create a blog. This is my first entry and I want to just try it out and start posting things about my life. I am currently serving at Glenwood Canyon BrewPub. I am taking a WebDesign class at Colorado Mountain College. More posts soon to be posted.

Busy being a teacher!

Last weekend Alicia Hays came to visit me from Deajeon , that was a lot of fun. We spent most of the time hanging out with people I knew and walking around town and trying new fun places to eat. We didn't do much more adventuring than that... Once Alicia posts pictures of the weekend I will post some on here. She also brought 2 of her friends from her school. It was nice to get to know them. I plan to do a 5K in Deajeon with in the next couple of months. I am excited. It is much easier to run here. :) ... I am soon going to look into rock climbing and I have already gone to a hot yoga class. The class was all in Korean but it was easy to fallow. I enjoyed it. The week at school is going well. We are taking our kids on a field trip this friday! :) i am super super excited to see how this goes. Wow, long time no post!

Let me just start by saying my life in Korea got SO busy in the past couple of months! I will list some of the things that I have gotten busy with.... Here is my excuses for not updating my blog (except for work) .... Volunteering at a orphanage teaching extra hours. I had a break from this for a little while, but I am about to start up doing this again next week! so this means on Tuesdays I will be teaching from 930am until 8pm at night... long days, but worth it :)  Started having meetings about starting to make a mural painting on a wall on bukbu beach! This hopefully is in its final stages of geting everyone involved to put it up! What better than putting my mark on Pohang, South Korea? :) Started to go to hot yoga, at least 3 times a week! Bogyeongsa Hike

Last Saturday I went on an amazing hike that was a hour bus ride outside of Pohang. It cost us only 3,000 won to get there and back. It was a perfect day. Not to hot or to cold. It was a little windy at times other than that perfect! It is the very beginning of spring time so the trees have not budded yet. I took many many pictures, if you have facebook I have put almost all of them on there but here are some if you have not seen or have facebook :) . Other than the hike, everything has been going well. I did phone teaching with my yellow class today. Phone teaching is when later in the day I call all my kender students in that class and ask very simple questions and that is about it. Some of them just try to speak korean to me or just say nothing at all. It is very hilarious at times. Sometimes if your lucky they will answer your questions. I am planning on going to Vietnam for my summer break that is only a week long. Most public schools have a month off but we only ...
