In Pohang South Korea!






Helloooo from Pohang! 
I arrived here last monday, Feb. 20th 2012. I was in Daejeon for 3 days with Alicia Hays and saw Daejeon for those days and it was very interesting and I got to meet some of the new teachers for her school there in Daejeon. We went out to eat and had much problems because of the miss communication and so we ended up eating dinner without any water or anything to drink because we did not know how to order our drinks. While in Daejeon, the best thing that Alicia and I spent time doing was going on a hike up a mountain that was located in the middle of the city. This mountain was steep and kind of remembered me of a nice hike in Colorado. As we walked up the hill, there was stops were there was "outdoor work out areas." Pictures to kind of explain. We then get to the top of the "mountain" we had a view the city of Daejeon. I then left on Monday the 20th on a bus at 7 am to get to Pohang at about 11am. On the way to Pohang the bus stopped at a rest stop and the rest stop was unlike any other rest stop that had loud music many shops. When I got to Pohang, Hellen the school director arrived and took me straight to the school. I started right then and followed people to their classrooms and started to learn the ways! I am still in training but I have been getting more involved with the kids and the classes and everything, I am loving it and looking forward to running my own classes. All the kids are SOO cute! they can be very crazy at times! I have lunch at the school , usually in the school Directors house because her house is attached to the school and is very nice and that is were the cooks make the food for all the students anyways. The school is very nice and neat. I would write more about my room BUT I will not be in my own room for another week. As of right now, I am staying with another teacher. I have been getting to know a lot of really cool people here :) I have not taken any pictures yet of Pohang but it is a VERY bright and colorful city! and it is warmer then Deajeon. Still kind of cold though. More pics and stories to come! MUCH LOVE!

As I sit here at a interenet Cafe in Huay Xai, I realize that I should write and update my blog because I was in the Philippines about 3 weeks ago and SO MUCH has happened. I was only in the philippines for about one week. Chrisitie and I met here in the Philippines airport. We then had to get onto another airplane to get to BOracay. Boracay is a beautiful place filled with awesome beaches, bars and peopple. BTW this keyboard and computer sucks here in this hole in the wall interenet cafe on the borader of Thailand and Loas. This will not be a long entery, just some highlights that everyione should know about.THis trip did consist of lots of relaxing on the beaches. One of the first nights we did the boracay pubcrawl! Jakarta - rough on the outside a gem inside!

Let me start off by saying I would have had a complete different experience if I didn't have 2 of the most fantastic hostesses! If your reading this, you know who you are ;) . I don't know if that experience would of been bad but I did get to see and learn more about Jakarta than a normal backpacker traveling through would. Jakarta has about 10 million people living in the city and about 10 million traveling in and out of the city. The city does not have a subway! If there was one word that Lauren and Monica taught me how to say in Indonesian it was traffic! Lauren and I took full advantage of the traffic we sat in to get to know one another! So of course it worked in our favor :) . Before writing on this blog , I wrote in my travel journal and took up like 5 pages of bullet points of things we did each day! In Singapore for 3 dayzzz!

Leaving pohang and the people there was one of the hardest things I have ever done. I have never met such a amazing group of people like them. I feel very blessed to have been able to have shared this past year with each and every one of them! The cool thing is I know I will see everyone other places in the world in the future because of the friendship we have built in Korea together! I will never forget.. 💛💙💜💚❤ After traveling for about a full day from pohang , South Korea. I am now here in the Singapore airport. Stephanie and I are now waiting for her brother to come in on his flight. We had a lay over in Manila. This airport was nice and we had sometime to kill so we hung out in a cafe. We then found out we needed to get to a different terminal for our flight. Then we found out that no shuttle busses were running because it was 4 am! So we were told to take a taxi ... I decided to exchange some of my money to pesos cuz I would be able to use it when I am back in about 2 weeks
